Sonjara, Inc. is a woman-owned small business founded by Siobhan and Andrew Green that offers web solutions for the U.S. federal government domestically and internationally. We have over nine years of experience supporting the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the World Bank, the Library of Congress, and other agencies in close collaboration with private sector and NGO implementing partners.

Located in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, our team consists of 15 highly experienced technology specialists, developers, and operations personnel. Our 2012 revenue is projected to exceed $1 million.

Our Technology Advantage

Sonjara has built a proprietary open source tool called Fakoli to build custom applications for our clients. Fakoli is issued on an MIT open source license, meaning that the final application created by us for our clients are owned by our clients, with unlimited free use of the Fakoli components.

Our team is also experienced in Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, SharePoint, and other common web applications, and we offer deep experience in PHP, ASP.NET, Java, MySQL, SQLServer, CSS, HTML 5, JavaScript, XML/XSLT, and emerging technologies.

We know that non-technology elements (such as change management, training, logistics, and user interface) are as or even more important than the technology solution to the success of a project. Our approach is one of technology agnosticism, i.e., what is the best technology solution to meet the current and future projected need? Our philosophy toward technology is that it is a means to an end (rather than an end in itself). This enables us to design and deliver truly user centered solutions that address real problems.
